During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Suga, a member of the popular South Korean boy band BTS, made his solo debut and discussed his latest album D-Day. In a video shared on The Tonight Show's YouTube channel, Suga not only spoke about his own work but also touched upon his bandmates RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Moreover, the rapper also disclosed that he and the BTS crew always take a pre-concert 'shot'.


On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Suga from BTS was asked by the host about his feelings regarding his ongoing global tour and the release of his new album. The rapper admitted to feeling a bit disconnected as he's currently on tour and hasn't been able to keep up with all the responses to his album, but he expressed his happiness that his fans (known as ARMY) are enjoying his music. 


Fallon also quizzed Suga about his previous job delivering food and asked him how good he was at it. Suga responded confidently, "I was really good at it. I was good at driving."

During their conversation, Jimmy brought up the topic of Suga potentially becoming an NBA ambassador. Upon hearing this, Suga chuckled and expressed his confusion, saying, "I didn't understand why the NBA would need me as an ambassador when they are already so famous. Why would they choose me?" To this, both Jimmy and the audience shouted in unison, "No!"


In addition to his NBA ambassador aspirations, Suga shared during the conversation that he had dreamt of becoming a professional basketball player when he was young, but realized that his height wasn't adequate for the sport. When asked if he was the best basketball player among the BTS members, Suga burst out laughing and replied, "Are you serious? I don't think any of the other guys even know the rules of the game." He also revealed that he had derived his stage name, 'Suga', from the first two letters of 'shooting guard'.


During a recent interview, Suga was asked about the meaning of "D-Day" to him. He revealed that the term has multiple meanings for him personally and explained that he chose to name his album "D-Day" as a way to free himself from any constraints or restrictions in his life. 


Additionally, Suga elaborated on the meaning behind his song "Haegeum," sharing that it was named after a traditional Korean instrument and signifies "liberation from the banned." As an added surprise, Suga even attempted to play the Haegeum during the interview, but unfortunately, he was unable to.

Suga was asked if he follows any pre-performance traditions or superstitions. Surprisingly, Suga revealed that he and his bandmates actually take a shot of whiskey together before going on stage. To demonstrate, Jimmy brought out two glasses, and the two of them shared a drink.


 Later on the show, Suga delighted fans by performing his song "Haegeum." At the end of the performance, he waved to his fans and even blew some kisses before leaving the stage.
