Swami Smaranananda Maharajji of Ramakrishna mission dies at 94

Swami Smaranananda, the president of the Ramakrishna Mission, passed away on Tuesday night due to age-related issues, as per his medical professionals.
Swami Smaranananda Maharaj Ji, who was 94 years old when he was elected, was the sixteenth president of the Ramakrishna Mission, which Swami Vivekananda founded.
The most respected President Maharaj of the Ramakrishna Mission Swami Smaranananda ji Maharaj reached Maha samadhi at 8:14 p.m.today, stated through an official statement from the Ramakrishna Mission.
Following a prior diagnosis of a UTI, the spiritual leader was admitted to the Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan hospital in Kolkata on January 29. He eventually had respiratory failure, according to his doctors, and on March 3 they placed a ventilator on him.

During their visit, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi both conveyed their sincere appreciation to Swami Smaranananda Maharaj Ji.
In reference to the tweet about X that Prime Minister Modi posted, "He left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of countless people." He will continue to be an inspiration for many years to come because of his kindness and wisdom.We remained really close the whole time we were together. Thinking back to my visit to Belur Math in 2020, I remember a conversation I had with him. I went to the hospital a few weeks ago while I was in Kolkata to see how he was doing. And he said, something else.
The chief minister said that the monk will continue to offer comfort to millions of devotees worldwide.
As per the mission, the cremation will take place on Wednesday evening at nine o'clock at the Ramakrishna Mission headquarters in Howrah, Belur Math.
