The Health Ministry in Gaza alleges that Israel fired upon a group of Palestinians awaiting aid

In a tragic turn of events, Gaza's Health Ministry accused Israeli forces of opening fire on Palestinians awaiting humanitarian aid, resulting in 20 deaths and dozens injured. The incident occurred in Gaza City's southern edge, triggering chaos as people fled the gunfire. The National and Islamic Forces Follow-up Committee labeled it a "war crime and genocide." Simultaneously, the US established a communication channel with Israel to address concerns over civilian casualties. Amidst Israel's offensive in Khan Younis, thousands sought refuge, leading to a UN shelter being targeted, with the US condemning the attack. In a disturbing development, Gaza's Health Ministry and eyewitnesses have accused Israeli troops of opening fire on a crowd of Palestinians awaiting humanitarian aid in Gaza City. The tragic incident unfolded on the city's southern edge during the distribution of food, resulting in 20 fatalities and numerous injuries. The shooting, described as a "war crime and genocide" by the National and Islamic Forces Follow-up Committee, prompted chaos as people fled the scene, carrying aid boxes.

Footage posted online captured the mayhem, showing hundreds of individuals escaping the gunfire. Ashraf al-Qidra, spokesperson for the Gaza Health Ministry, reported 20 deaths and 150 injuries, while the distributing aid agency remains unidentified. The UNRWA and UN World Food Program denied involvement in the operation.

As tensions escalate, the United States has initiated a communication channel with Israel to address concerns over civilian casualties. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed worry about reports of strikes on humanitarian sites. This move comes amid Israel's offensive in Khan Younis, forcing thousands to seek refuge. The UNRWA reported an alleged tank strike on a shelter, resulting in 13 deaths and 75 injuries, prompting a rare condemnation from the United States.

In an unexpected turn, Israel ordered over 30,000 civilians inside a UN center in Khan Younis to evacuate, following an alleged tank strike. The UNRWA Commissioner-General condemned the attack as a "blatant disregard of basic rules of war." International concern mounts over the rising death toll and the impending UN judges' ruling on South Africa's plea to halt Israel's military operation, accusing it of state-led genocide.

As the world watches the unfolding crisis in Gaza, questions persist about the impact of these events on diplomatic relations and the broader geopolitical landscape.
