Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, plans to unveil the “Winter Action Plan” on 1st October, 2023. This plan aims to reduce the severe pollution that blankets the national capital every winter.


Delhi’s Environment Minister, Gopal Rai, met with experts to discuss this plan. He mentioned that the government is getting ready for the Winter Action Plan, and CM Arvind Kejriwal will introduce it on1st October, 2023.

Gopal Rai, the Delhi Environment Minister, mentioned that they are preparing a Winter Action Plan to tackle pollution during the winter season. They had a discussion with experts and held a joint meeting.


He explained that they have identified 15 key points to save Delhi from heavy smog. Different government departments have been asked to submit their plans by September 25. These points cover issues like areas with high pollution, crop residue burning, vehicle emissions, burning of trash in the open, industrial pollution, setting up a green war room, conducting real-time pollution studies, enforcing a complete ban on fireworks, and more.

Gopal Rai mentioned that once they gather plans from all the government departments by September 25, they will create a thorough winter action plan. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will then unveil this plan on October 1.


Previously, a similar meeting was conducted by Gopal Rai on Tuesday, where officials and representatives from various organizations and departments like DPCC, the Environment Department, UNEP, CSE, C40, EPIC India, Clean Air Asia, and IIT Kanpur actively participated.
