A group of tourists experienced a dangerous ordeal at Sela Pass in Arunachal Pradesh when the ice on a frozen lake cracked, causing them to fall into the freezing water. The incident, which involved four individuals, including two women, was captured on video and widely shared on social media.

Quick-thinking bystanders used bamboo sticks to pull the stranded tourists to safety, preventing a potentially tragic situation. The video of the rescue highlights the risks associated with winter tourism in snow-covered regions.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju shared the footage on social media, urging visitors to exercise caution while exploring frozen lakes and mountainous terrains. Rijiju emphasized the importance of wearing warm clothing, traveling with experienced guides, and being aware of avalanches and slippery roads.
