Jammu and Kashmir bus accident:-

Tragedy struck in Jammu and Kashmir as a bus carrying pilgrims on their way to the Vaishno Devi shrine met with a devastating accident. According to the police, there are fears that ten individuals have lost their lives, while twelve others have been injured. 

The incident occurred when the bus that departed from Amritsar skidded off the road and plummeted into a deep gorge near the Jajjar Kotli area on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.

Efforts to rescue the victims are currently underway through a joint operation involving the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), local police, and other teams. Assistant Commandant Ashok Choudhary of the CRPF confirmed that a rescue mission is in progress, with the deployment of a crane to ascertain whether there are any individuals trapped beneath the bus.

In response to the incident, ambulances were swiftly called to the scene, and the injured were promptly transported to nearby hospitals. The bodies of the deceased were also taken to the hospital. 

As the rescue operation unfolds, the authorities are piecing together the details surrounding the accident. Choudhary revealed that the bus had originated from Amritsar and was carrying passengers from Bihar. 

It appears that they may have veered off course, ending up in the Jajjar Kotli area instead of their intended destination in Katra.

The authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety of all those affected by the accident. The joint efforts of the CRPF, police, and other teams reflect their commitment to rescuing survivors and providing necessary medical assistance. 

Trained personnel are at the scene, utilizing all available resources to locate and aid any individuals who may still be trapped.
