In Ahmedabad, a distressing incident unfolded as the wife of a Gujarat-cadre IPS officer was discovered deceased by apparent suicide. Shaluben, aged 47, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in their Thaltej residence. This tragic event transpired shortly after her return from Surat on Thursday night.

The IPS officer, identified as RT Susara, currently serving as the Superintendent of Police, Marine Task Force, had been on leave, while Shaluben had returned from Surat. Despite their presence in the house, no suicide note was recovered. The authorities have initiated an accidental death case at the Bodakdev police station.

The sequence of events unfolded when Susara found his wife's body in another room on the ground floor of their residence the following morning and promptly notified the local authorities. Shaluben's body underwent post-mortem examination at Sola Civil Hospital as part of the ongoing investigation.

While Susara and Shaluben had been in Surat for a wedding, she returned home while he was already asleep. The IPS officer came across the devastating sight early the next day, leading to the immediate involvement of law enforcement.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Shaluben took her life during the late hours of the night, leaving unanswered questions about the motive behind this tragic occurrence.
