In a disturbing incident in Delhi's Anand Parbat area, a 54-year-old man, facing trial for rape, committed a shocking act. Desperate to intimidate the victim's family into withdrawing the case, he threw acid at the victim's 17-year-old daughter, resulting in dire consequences.

The victim's daughter, refusing to relent on the case against the accused, faced a horrific ordeal when he launched an acid attack in front of her house. This tragic turn of events unfolded as the accused, identified as Prem Singh, was out on bail while awaiting trial for the alleged rape case.

According to the authorities, the accused took an extreme step when the victim's daughter refused to withdraw the charges. He threatened her to retract the case against him. When met with her refusal, he resorted to a terrifying act of violence, hurling acid at her.

The gravity of the situation deepened when the accused, in a grim twist, ingested the same acid he had thrown at the girl. Both were swiftly rushed to the hospital following the distress call received by the police.
