Taking inspiration from his esteemed parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, there are reports indicating that Abhishek Bachchan is preparing to embark on a political journey in the near future. According to the buzz, he is expected to join the Samajwadi Party led by Akhilesh Yadav and is likely to contest elections from the Allahabad constituency, following in the footsteps of his father Amitabh Bachchan, who entered Parliament in 1984.
Despite being occupied with a roster of projects, including Breathe, Ghoomer, Dhoom 4, and Housefull 5, Abhishek Bachchan shows no hesitation in considering a venture into politics. Drawing inspiration from his renowned parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, the actor is reportedly poised to embrace a political career in the near future.
Unconfirmed reports by Bharat Samachar indicate that Abhishek Bachchan is likely to join Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party, following his father's footsteps by contesting elections from the Allahabad constituency. However, there has been no official announcement from either Abhishek or the Samajwadi Party regarding this matter. The speculation surrounding Abhishek's potential political entry has sparked significant interest, particularly in Uttar Pradesh. It is worth noting that in a 2013 interview, Abhishek expressed his disinclination towards a political career, stating that while he may portray a politician on-screen, he firmly ruled out engaging in politics in real life.
In retrospect, Big B, also known as Amitabh Bachchan, temporarily stepped away from his acting career to venture into politics. He achieved victory in the 1984 8th Lok Sabha election; however, due to accusations linking him to the Bofors scandal, he chose to resign in July 1987. On the other hand, Jaya Bachchan embarked on her political journey by being elected as a Member of Parliament representing the Samajwadi Party from 2004 to 2006. Subsequently, she secured re-election in 2012 and once again in 2018, this time to the Rajya Sabha.
