US Reportedly Declines Putin's Ukraine Ceasefire Proposal; Kremlin Denies Allegations

Russian President Vladimir Putin's bid for a ceasefire in Ukraine faces rejection by the United States and, the Kremlin refuting the allegation. Three Russian sources disclosed that Putin's peace offer met a cold response from the US, despite efforts through various channels. The proposal aimed to halt the conflict without territorial concessions, signaling a possible path to peace.

As the deadly conflict in Europe nears its third year, tensions escalate between Russia and major Western powers, particularly the US. Senior Russian sources reveal unsuccessful attempts to engage with the Americans, indicating a diplomatic deadlock. The US insists on Ukraine's involvement in ceasefire discussions, leading to the collapse of communication channels.

However, the Kremlin dismisses reports of Putin's ceasefire proposal, denying any peace initiatives towards Washington. US officials maintain consistent disengagement from backchannel talks with Russia, emphasizing support for Ukraine's sovereignty. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy remains resolute against Russian influence, refusing any contact with Moscow.
