Anti-Drug Campaign to Promote

At 'Vizag Conventions' in the Palem neighbourhood, police in Visakhapatnam promoted an anti-drug campaign that aimed to rid the state of drugs. CM Trivikrama Verma, the city's police commissioner, recently spoke to medical and engineering students, warning them of the dire effects of drug use.

Verma warned pupils that the consequences for drug use, possession, distribution, and sale are harsh, citing the rules of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

IPS Verma's main objective in the programme was to educate the pupils about the risks of drug use. He emphasised that drug abuse has negative consequences for one's health, family life, and wallet.

Verma spoke up against drug use among young people and educated them on the legal consequences of doing so. The campaign's goal was to prevent students from engaging in drug-related activities by making them aware of the legal repercussions of doing so.

After the festivities concluded, everyone took a pledge in support of the anti-drug and ganja campaign. Both kids and their parents praised the effort, recognising the value of drug prevention initiatives like this one in creating a safe and welcoming learning environment.

The police in Visakhapatnam have launched an important anti-drug campaign to educate young people about the dangers of drug usage. Authorities are focusing on future doctors and engineers in an effort to teach a feeling of responsibility and prevent them from sliding into the drug addiction trap.

Building a drug-free society, protecting the mental health of the next generation, and furthering the state's economic and political development are all made possible by such efforts. The Visakhapatnam police force's dedication to combating drug-related issues is an inspiration to law enforcement agencies around the world.
