On Thursday evening, several people were hurt when a wall of a structure being constructed in Lucknow fell. A multi-story parking garage was under construction where the incident took place.


At 11:30 p.m., workers at the construction site reported hearing a loud cracking noise, which turned out to be a soil subsidence that had caused the collapse of temporary huts and several injuries. ADCP Syed Ali Abbas of Lucknow has reported that seven individuals have been pulled from the rubble and are undergoing first medical care.

A group from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the area to rescue the workers buried under the rubble. Extrication attempts for people still trapped under the rubble are being coordinated by police, fire department, and SDRF officials.
