Adding to the ongoing controversy, the chief of the Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has again stated that if the charges of sexual harassment made against him by the protesting wrestlers are proven to be true he would "hang" himself.

During a public rally in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, the BJP MP said, "If a single allegation against me is proven, I will hang myself." Moreover, he also made a sarcastic comment about the wrestlers who had declared that they would throw their medals into the Ganga as a form of protest against him, stating, "It's been four months and they want me to be hanged. The government is not hanging me that's why they gathered at Haridwar on Tuesday and threatened to immerse their medals in the Ganga.”

This will not bring the sentence that they want for me, it is all emotional drama," he added. The WFI Chief also challenged that he is ready to accept any punishment

“This will not bring the sentence that they want for me, it is all emotional drama," he added. The WFI Chief also challenged that he is ready to accept any punishment if the wrestlers are able to come up with any evidence in Court. He further remarked, "Delhi police is investigating the matter. I would be arrested if there's any truth to the charges."

Top sources from the Delhi Police revealed that they are yet to find any evidence that is in support of the allegations made by the protesting wrestlers. They further added that the WFI Chief is neither influencing the witness nor is he destroying the evidence. Hence, they are unable to take any further action in the matter. But, Delhi Police has affirmed, "Within 15 days we will be filing our report in the court. It could be in the form of a charge sheet or final report."
