So did you also face the complete black out on WhatsApp for 2 hours on this Tuesday.

Was this any sort of hacking of the WhatsApp?  Perhaps, it was. Government of India's Union Ministry for Electronics and Information Technology has this fear that the blackout may be a hacking of the WhatsApp systems.

From around 12 PM on Tuesday users started facing problem in sending messages on WhatsApp. The problem turned into a compete black out for almost two hours.

This blackout was acknowledged by Meta as a brief outage due to technical issues in their servers.

But if recent news is to be believed, the Govt has fears that the outage may be a hacking in fact.

Accordingly, it has asked the Company to give its report within two days regarding this black out. Such a pro-active approach by present Govt is really commendable and speaks volumes how the public issues have gained priority in present Government’s to-do list.
