Tips and Tricks to Kickstart Your Preparation for JEE:

Now that we know the exam pattern and other necessary details, the next thing that we shall focus on is “how to prepare for JEE in the best possible way?” Well, even if there is no one-size-fits-all theory here because every one of you is unique with unique abilities and weaknesses, there are certain techniques that you should follow at all costs to crack the hard nut. Let’s look at them one by one:

1: Get the Right Resources and Mentors: While preparing for any competitive exams, let alone JEE Main and Advanced, it’s quintessential to gather the resources first. Get your hands on the best books for the exam, try to collect notes online or from seniors, and most importantly, get a mentor who can guide you through the thick and thin of preparation. Having a mentor who knows the game is always an advantage you can exercise over your competitors.

2: Prepare Yourself Mentally: Once you decide to dive into the preparations for JEE, prepare yourself mentally. Be ready to face challenges, off days, lack of motivation, etc., during the journey. JEE isn’t an easy street, you have to work twice as hard as anyone to be at the top and live your dream life. But it all starts with embracing the competition and bracing yourself for the challenges to come. Be prepared!

3: Plan, Execute, Repeat: If you aren’t consistent with your input, you are already out of the competition. As harsh as it sounds, this must be the only truth you should ever know about cracking JEE. Planning is cool, executing them is great; but doing it day after day constantly is going to land you your dream university. You have to be persistent with your preparations from Day 1, no matter what.

4: Manage Your Time Properly: If you are in your 11th or 12th standard, managing your school work and preparation for JEE simultaneously can be quite a challenge. At this crucial time, you must manage your time well to streamline the toggling between the two platforms. Stay away from things or activities that consume a lot of your time. Switch off your mobile, shut down your PC, say goodbye to regular hangouts and all the distractions that are posing a threat to your dream life.

5: Give As Many Mock Tests As Possible: Mock tests are lifesavers. We didn’t say that; your seniors did! No matter how good your preparations are, if you don’t appear for mock tests, your probability of success goes down significantly. Mock tests are a great option for you to test yourself, and identify the strongholds and the areas to work on further. Moreover, sitting for 3 hours and appearing for a test can help you prepare better for the actual JEE exam. It is, however, important to note that don’t get swayed away by your marks in mock tests. Your marks in mock tests are just for testing measures; you needn’t feel demotivated or become overconfident by it.

You will find different strategies over the Internet to clear JEE, but believe us these are all you need to start preparing for the exam. Remember that no strategy is a good strategy unless you sit down and start working on yourself. If you want to crack JEE in your next attempt, your time starts now.
