College is one of the most important things in our lives, we all have to go to a university in the future. Some people may not like going for a degree outside their home country but there are some countries that offer very good education; for example, UK and Australia. The people and the universities there always prefer fresh air and adventure, whereas, in other places, it’s all about cramming and books.

Here I am explaining the top ten universities of the world, you are bound to be surprised, by what I know. This information may prove useful to understand more about higher education available in foreign countries; here’s my list of the top 10 Universities Of The World.

#1 University Of Michigan – Ann Arbor University

The University Of Michigan – Ann Arbor University

This has been around since 1860 when John S. Flint opened his first school as “The Junior School of Arts and Industry”. In 1900, he added an elementary school, along with his senior colleagues. More so, these schools were named after him. Besides making money from students and tuition, these educational facilities also brought many immigrants to the town. Even today there are over 500 students enrolled at this school and they are now opening new areas. This is also a graduate school, and the faculty is teaching various subjects such as science, geography, etc. There are around 7500 students studying at this school at any given moment.

The original part of Los Angeles was once referred to as Palmetto Coast or Las Olas Boulevard. By 1860, the city had around 2,000 white workers. It was during the 1870s-1880s when the city started its transformation from land to oil fields and then back again. Nowadays it is known as the second-largest city in America and third-largest worldwide. So by 1900, there were already 50,000 residents here, which was more than any U.S. state. Also, in 1869-1870 an American military commander who led a force from Cuba to save the Panama Canal went against Spanish rule. And this was really a turning point in history as at about the same time Latin Americans started getting independence. After those days Latin American countries are still developing their economy. Today Mexico has nearly 1/3rd of the total population of the whole continent. Apart from education, this is a business and tourism hub as well. This university was founded in 1905 as the University Of Southern California and later on, it was renamed UCLA, in 1909; the same year, Stanford began to be established. The campus consists of three parts: a residential unit, an academic center, and a number of athletic facilities.

This institution was created by Sir James Cook and John Baptist de Chardin and was formally established in 1865. One of the famous alumni of this University is Ernest Hemingway, who, as a writer, was influenced heavily by how he wrote. His father worked as a cook at his family farm. He died in 1919 at age 39 and he left behind 7- a year-old son, whose name was Philip Arthur Samuel. When Philip was young he used horses while riding his friends and later on he got married. Then he joined the church, where he studied theology for 7 years. During that period he wrote the short story entitled “The Call of Saint Peter”, which remains popular to this day.

Just like the architecture used back then. They also hold events like Halloween parties for children, there is a lot more to the way, and they believe in bringing cultures together! Their main idea is to bring them together to learn about art, language, literature, philosophy, and more. That’s right. This college was started in England when John Winthrop came here. But today this is one of Europe’s leading universities. Being ranked 9th globally and 6th nationally. What makes this college outstanding? Well, besides everything listed above. It is accredited and recognized by numerous professional bodies and societies such as APEC, AIAA, European Union, and others. Its international partnerships are based on high standards, with each team taking pride in having individual members from diverse backgrounds. Therefore, it is considered a top university that promotes tolerance and understanding among students and encourages mutual respect. Furthermore, its culture of sharing provides open communication channels with community members from all over the world. It shows what true diversity looks like and that is why it is seen as one of the top 10 Universities in the world. However, there are still controversies being faced by Harvard which come from cultural diversity, gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and economic disparities. Although it has certain problems, they are trying to combat them with all means and measures.

Yale University

This university was founded by the British colonialist, Lord Charles Seymour in 1642. It was named after him for giving preference to English graduates over Irish ones. And since it was founded just before 1700, Oxfordshire became one of its constituent units. Initially located near Eastbourne village in Kent county this university was developed further and spread across West Sussex. Right now, as of August 2020, just under 24,000 students and staff members belong, and they hope this university can expand even more. You can find the exact location for Yale in East Sussex County. There is an extensive network of faculties, research centers, libraries, theatres, sports facilities, and other amenities.
