Ben Newton joined the Deloitte Brightstart program as an apprentice and worked there for twelve years. He began earning £1 million or more annually and, at the age of 30, joined the firm as a partner last year.
According to reports, he was the first apprentice to become a partner through Deloitte Brightstart, a program for recent high school graduates.
Newton told The Sunday Times, I grew up in Dorset. My dad left school at 16 and was a soldier in the army. My mum worked in a pub and then as a travel agent. It was an upbringing far from London and the world of finance.
He was the first of Newton's cousins to receive a math scholarship from the University of Warwick. Ultimately, however, he declined it and chose to join Deloitte's program. According to The Sunday Times, he has finished his accounting training and is currently working as an auditor.
The Sun claims that pursuing a career in the trades, including plumbing or electrical work, is typically associated with apprenticeships. Still, there are over 600 different types of apprenticeship programs that provide 'earn while you learn' opportunities in digital technology, healthcare, law, accounting, and management consulting, among other sectors. A legitimate type of employment that blends education with paid experience is an apprenticeship.
You ought to be equipped with the know-how and abilities needed to be successful in your chosen field of work after completing an apprenticeship. A Master's degree is equivalent to Level 7, General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSEs) to Level 3, and Advanced Level (A Levels) to Level 2. Depending on the level, type, and applicant's prior experience, an apprenticeship might take anywhere from one to six years to complete.
