The student shared a video on social media, alleging that she and other female candidates were subjected to invasive physical checks, including being touched inappropriately. She expressed her distress, stating, "I felt embarrassed and ashamed."

The incident has drawn widespread criticism. Assam Police Chief Gyanendra Pratap Singh acknowledged the complaints, stating that a thorough investigation would be conducted. He mentioned the overreach by women police officers during the checks and assured a quick resolution, given that several women held key positions in the Nalbari district administration.
