Congress President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury expresses frustration as Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra faces permission issues for public meetings in TMC-ruled West Bengal. The administration cites ongoing school exams as the reason, adding to the challenges the Yatra encountered in the Northeast. Trinamool Congress, however, insists on the impartiality of the administration.
In
West Bengal, the Bharat
Jodo Nyay Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi, encountered obstacles as the Congress
party struggled to obtain permission for public meetings. Adhir Ranjan
Chowdhury, the state Congress president, accused the Trinamool Congress of
impeding their efforts. He revealed that the party faced difficulties due to
school examinations, hindering the desired public gatherings.
Chowdhury emphasized the hurdles faced by the Yatra, which originated in Manipur on January 14 and recently entered West Bengal from Assam. Despite expectations of leniency for public meetings in some areas, the administration proved unyielding. The Yatra is currently on a two-day break and is scheduled to resume on January 28.

Responding

administration remains impartial and free from political influence. He blamed
Adhir Chowdhury for the breakdown of the INDIA alliance in the state and
suggested that the decision to withhold permissions might be influenced by ongoing
school board examinations.
This
political tussle sheds light on the challenges faced by opposition parties in
organizing events, adding a layer of complexity to the unfolding narrative of
the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in TMC-ruled West Bengal.
