Bihar's largest examination center, known as Bapu Pariksha Parisar, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna on Wednesday. This state-of-the-art examination complex will accommodate over 16,000 candidates at once, allowing them to take both online and offline exams. This initiative marks a significant step forward in the state's examination infrastructure and provides a platform for more efficient and extensive testing.

Spread on five acres in Patna's Kumhrar area, the Bapu Pariksha Parisar is a groundbreaking facility. In 2019, when the construction of the examination complex began, it was expected to feature three huge towers: Block A, Block B, and Block C. However, because to a land issue relating to Block C, only Blocks A and B were erected. These buildings have five floors apiece and have been designed to handle modern examination requirements.

The Bapu Pariksha Parisar is fitted with innovative sensor-based lighting systems that automatically turn on when someone enters a room and switch off when the space is unoccupied. This revolutionary element not only ensures energy efficiency but also contributes to better management of resources.

The exam center is designed to accommodate 13,448 offline and 3,584 online examinees across its two towers. This capacity of 16,632 candidates taking exams simultaneously is expected to increase to 20,000 in the future. The Bihar government has been taking steps to establish such state-of-the-art examination centers, having already built nine regional offices, each with a 5,000-seat capacity, in various districts.
