Congress Leader Kharge Accuses BJP of Stealing MLAs

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of stealing MLAs. 

The Congress president further stated that the Madhya Pradesh government is an illegal government.

"This (MP government) is an illegal government. They (BJP) stole our MLAs. They are ruling in the state with them and on the other side, they say that they have built a government on their principles," he said during an event in Sagar district. 

He further remarked, "I think prime minister Narendra Modi and MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan cannot digest food without abusing the Congress party.” Continuing his critique, Kharge pointed out that the BJP often raises the question of what the Congress achieved in 70 years. 

He went ahead to answer this himself, stating, "We have done something that's why you (Modi) became the Prime Minister. We have saved the constitution and we have saved democracy so you are sitting on the chair. " 

Kharge charged, "By showing ED’s fear to people you built your government. A similar thing happened in Karnataka and Manipur. They (BJP) do this everywhere they aren't elected."

He further stated that there may be a few individuals who are attempting to alter the constitution, but their efforts will not succeed because the 1.4 billion people of the nation are committed to safeguarding it.

In addition, the Congress leader also made a reference to the Sidhi urine incident. He remarked, "Whose worker urinated on the tribal. He had urinated on the face and you (CM Chouhan) was cleaning the feet of the victim." 

He further questioned whether such humiliation can be erased simply by washing feet.
