Sukesh Chandrashekhar, currently imprisoned in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail for an extortion case, has made an unexpected offer to filmmaker Karan Johar to buy a controlling stake in Dharma Productions. Chandrashekhar expressed his intent to acquire a 50-70% share in the company, calling it a "no-negotiation" offer, with the transaction to be completed within 48 hours if accepted.

The letter, sent through the legal firm Anantam Legal, stated Chandrashekhar's interest in investing in Dharma Productions due to his love for cinema. He acknowledged that his credibility might raise concerns but emphasized his passion for films. Chandrashekhar added that his company, LS Holdings, was informed Dharma was seeking investment, prompting the offer.

The conman praised Johar as a "wonderful human" and mentioned his connection to actress Jacqueline Fernandez, whom he referred to as the "love of his life" and a fan of Dharma Productions. The proposal comes at a time when Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India, is also set to acquire a 50% stake in Dharma Productions for ₹1000 crore.
