Delhi’s air quality stayed in the “very poor” range for the 13th straight day as calm overnight winds led to pollutant buildup. The AQI hit 348, with some areas recording “severe” levels. Stagnant winds and reduced visibility contributed to early morning smog, and conditions are likely to remain unchanged.
Delhi’s air quality continues to be in the “very poor” category for the 13th consecutive day, with stagnant winds preventing pollutant dispersion. The 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 348 at 8 pm on Sunday, slightly worse than Saturday's reading of 334.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported early morning fog, with visibility dropping to 800 meters at Safdarjung.
Pollution levels were particularly severe in Jahangirpuri (411) and Bawana (401), according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

The AQI has remained in the “very poor” range since October 30. Calm nighttime winds have led to the accumulation of fog and smog, with wind speeds slightly increasing during the day to around 10 km per hour. However, winds are expected to slow again, possibly exacerbating pollution.
