A Delhi vlogger alleged that a man claiming to be an RPF officer molested him on a train from Guwahati to Rangapara by grabbing his private parts. He filed a complaint, and Indian Railways has initiated an investigation.
Delhi-based vlogger and travel agent has leveled allegations against a man claiming of himself as an RPF officer. The incident happened on a Guwahati to Rangapara train journey on April 25. Deepak Samal posted on his Instagram telling everyone how dreadful the situation was.
Based on the words Samal, he was sleeping on the train named "Donyi Polo Express" when a man with a torch flashed on his face and introduced himself as an RPF personnel who was doing the routine check. The man, then, sat down in Samal's cradle and began to ask him a lot of questions about his name and travels.
Samal said that the man was sliding his hips against his legs because of the small cabin. It turned out, though, that the man had intentionally jammed his elbows against his genitals. "I thought it was by mistake because of the train speed as well. It later became a daily occurrence. . . He eventually grabbed (or molested) my private parts literally," Samal narrated.
When Samal brought the matter to the notice of the RPF officer, he actually shrugged it off as a mere time pass. As a result, Samal recorded a video about the incident after alighting at Rangapara station. Besides, he has also filed a complaint with the Railway Madad, an official redressal mechanism of Indian Railways.
Indian Railways confirmed that the investigation into the incident has already been started. The authority guarantees zero tolerance towards such unacceptable acts on the part of its staff, by keeping a strict check on its staff behavior.
