drinking water on pointless chores like washing cars and gardening.
Disobeying the water supply board's directive to save reserves at a time when the state is facing a severe water scarcity will cost each family ₹5,000.
22 separate houses have contributed fines totaling ₹ 1.1 lakh, according to the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). Despite the fact that the fines were gathered from all around the city, the south was the most giving, contributing Rs 80,000.
At the beginning of this month, the BWSSB suggested a more cost-effective method of using drinking water while still taking the circumstances into consideration. The board decided to impose an extra 500 RS fine on repeat violators. This fine would be imposed on anyone who disregarded the instruction.
