Firefighters Rescue 10 People Trapped

In a late-night incident in the South Extension neighborhood of Delhi, 10 individuals were successfully rescued by the Delhi Fire Services after being trapped inside a lift at a club and subsequently on the first floor of the building. The incident occurred around 12:45 am, but the fire services were alerted nearly four to five hours later.

According to the police, a group of guests found themselves stuck in the lift while attempting to descend from the club on the third floor to the ground floor of the building. The distress call to the fire services was finally made around 5:20-5:30 am.

Chief Atul Garg of the Delhi Fire Services reported that firefighters took immediate action, breaking the glass windows on the first floor of the building to access the stranded individuals. Utilizing ladders, the rescue team safely retrieved the 10 people from their predicament.

It was revealed by the police that the first floor, where the trapped individuals found themselves, was under different ownership and had been locked at the time. Initially, the individuals tried to free themselves and later sought assistance from the lift maintenance staff. Although they managed to exit the lift, they were unable to leave the first floor as the entire area was secured. Desperate to escape, they attempted to contact the owner of the first floor, but their efforts proved unsuccessful.
