Yahya Sinwar, the 61-year-old leader of Hamas, was killed by a gunshot wound to the head during an Israeli ground raid in southern Gaza. His autopsy, overseen by Dr. Chen Kugel of Israel’s national forensic institute, revealed severe injuries, including a shattered forearm caused by shrapnel. Sinwar had attempted to stop the bleeding with an electrical cord, but it failed.
