Baba Siddique Murder Case: 5 More Suspects Arrested, Total Now 9

Mumbai police arrested five more suspects in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, raising the total to nine. The suspects are linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The police also recovered firearms sent for forensic analysis. Siddique was shot dead in Mumbai on October 12 outside his son’s office.
Mumbai police have made five additional arrests in connection with the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, bringing the total number of arrests to nine. The suspects were apprehended following raids in Karjat, Dombivli, and Navi Mumbai, and are believed to have ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which is suspected of orchestrating the killing. They have been remanded to police custody until October 25. Siddique, a former Congress leader who joined the NCP earlier this year, was shot dead on October 12 outside his son’s office in Nirmal Nagar, Mumbai.
Previously, four suspects were arrested, including two alleged shooters, Gurmail Baljit Singh and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap, and co-conspirators Harishkumar Balakram Nisad and Pravin Lonkar. The police are also searching for Shubham Lonkar, believed to be linked to the murder. Lonkar had been questioned earlier in connection with a shooting outside actor Salman Khan’s residence, another incident allegedly tied to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Police have recovered three firearms from the suspects, including a Glock pistol, a Turkish pistol, and a countrymade weapon. These have been sent for forensic testing to determine if they were used in the assassination of Siddique. The investigation remains ongoing.
