 A Threat To Humans:-

The World’s leading Health Organisation (WHO) holds a meeting twice every year, to discuss the upcoming strain of seasonal flu and which vaccine to be included in the medicines. The main purpose is the scientist's gathering to analyse the upcoming threat to the world due to the seasonal flu pandemic.  A Threat To Humans A Threat To Humans LONDON Scientists around the world met on 24th February, to discuss the threat posed by the H5N1 strain of seasonal flu to birds. The avian flu is causing death to birds all around the globe and is likely to influence humans in coming months.  The discussion was made on the key topic of ‘H5N1 strain’ where the scientists, regulators, experts talk through the vaccination to be added in the northern hemisphere of the world. Scientists also revealed about the chance of risk of animal virus spilling on human health leading to pandemic.  WHO’S key topic of meeting was H5N1 clade 2.3.4.4b, sources revealed.  What the WHO scientists says about the chance of animal flu spilling over humans?  “We are more prepared (than for COVID), but even if we are more prepared, we are not yet prepared enough,” Sylvie Briand, WHO director of global infectious hazard preparedness, said. “We need to really continue the efforts for a flu pandemic.” Briand discussed in the meeting about the recent rise of flu in the birds and mammals. The situation is quite ‘worrying’, when two cases of avian flu was detected in a family in Cambodia. Who is working with Cambodia to detect, if the virus spread from the birds or through human to human transmission. Disease experts revealed that the virus will change its variants in order to be conducive to human transmission.  Track of H5N1 clade 2.3.4.4b strain  WHO is tracking the H5N1 clade 2.3.4.4b, to prevent its mass. The increased mass deaths in birds and Mammals have raised the concern. The strain has hit the seals of bears and potential mammals in a Spanish mink farm last year. The virus emerged in the year 2020.  WHO has declared the chance of risk on human body is low, but the organisation is preparing precautions to prevent these virus from invading in human body.  WHO Affiliated labs is preparing vaccination of needed for the humans The labs of WHO is progressive in the preparation of vaccination. Two strains of  flu  are available in the labs which closely resemble H5N1 virus, which could help the manufacturer in the preparation of vaccination, if needed.   A Threat To Humans A Threat To Humans Several vaccine companies have used the closely related strain in manufacturing vaccines against the pandemic virus.  Conclusion Preparation of vaccination against the virus before time could save about 2 months in the development, as Briand said. Development of  these vaccines at the time of pandemic is a challenge, the experts said. If the vaccine is available before the situation gets out of control is the best possible way to protect the people.
