In a gripping Group D encounter, Delhi, led by newly-appointed captain Himmat Singh, scripted a remarkable comeback against Uttarakhand in the Ranji Trophy. Despite facing adversity with a 97-run deficit and losing four top-order batsmen for ducks, Delhi found an unlikely hero in Himmat Singh.

Facing a daunting situation at 11/5 in the second innings, Himmat Singh's resilience shone through as he not only survived but launched a counterattack against Uttarakhand's bowlers. Coming in at number 5, Himmat played a memorable knock, scoring an impressive 194 runs off 217 balls at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.

Under Himmat's captaincy, Delhi set a competitive target of 173 runs for Jiwanjot Singh's Uttarakhand.
