HTMS Sukhotai, Thai Navi ship sank last night, 28 soldiers in a critical situation

HTMS Sukhotai: More than 100 sailors were left stranded when a Thai Navy ship overturned during a storm in the Gulf of Thailand, according to officials.
The BBC claimed to quote the Royal Thai Navy that while there were no deaths, 28 of the 106 crew members were still "under the sea" awaiting rescue. It further said that out of the 28, three were in serious condition.
When it was caught in the storm on Sunday at approximately 11.30 p.m., the HTMS Sukhotai was on patrol in seas just 32 kilometers off the coast of Bang Saphan district in the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan, according to photos and videos posted by the RTN's official Twitter account that same night.
According to officials, the ship sank when water inundated its hull and short-circuited its power room.

The crew tried to keep control of the ship when power was lost; the ship leaned to one side before sinking on Sunday at around 23:30 local time.
Only the frigate HTMAS Kraburi could reach the ship before it sunk despite sending three navy ships and helicopters to help. According to the Navy, the frigate saved 78 of the 106 men on board the Sukhotai.

According to officials, efforts to find every crew member went on all night.

Following a power outage and subsequent flooding of the ship, the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) corvette HTMS Sukhothai (FS-442) sank in the Gulf of Thailand at about 11:30 p.m. local time on Sunday, according to the service.
The RTN sent the frigates HTMS Bhumibol Adulyadej (FFG-471) and HTMS Kraburi (FFG-457) as well as the landing platform dock HTMS Angthong (LPD-791). However, only Kraburi could get near enough to the scene to arrive before the ship sunk. Also sent to the location were two RTN helicopters. According to the RTN, the boat sank at about 11:30 p.m. because of rough seas and heavy winds.
