PM Modi announced e-medical visas for Bangladeshis and a new embassy in Rangpur during talks with PM Sheikh Hasina. The leaders discussed bilateral ties, emphasizing India's "Neighborhood First" policy and the importance of Bangladesh as a development partner.

Creation of A New Diplomatic Office in Rangpur
Modi also announced that it was agreed with Bangladesh to establish a new Assistant High Commission in Rangpur. This decision is going to be beneficial in improving the diplomatic services of the people in the northwestern region of Bangladesh.

Prior to the press briefing for the press, both leaders had detailed discussions on different issues in the agenda. Particularly Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived New Delhi on Friday itself for her first state visit after formation of new Indian government and she was given guard of honour at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
