Tensions in the Middle East might rise as a result of Iran's possible attack on Israel. It is reported that last week, seven senior military officers, including two generals, were killed in an attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus by Israeli forces. Tehran has pledged to strike back in the case that such an attack occurs.
According to those with knowledge of Western intelligence assessments, Israel will be prepared for Iran's unprecedented direct attack on its official websites as early as this Saturday.
A container ship headed for Israel was taken over by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Saturday, according to the Iranian state news agency IRNA. The ship was in the Strait of Hormuz, which connects the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

From a helicopter, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Special Forces boarded the MSC Aries and directed it toward Iranian territorial seas.
Reuters reports that the Iranian report was prompted by two maritime security agencies' earlier announcement that "regional authorities" had taken possession of a vessel off the coast of the United Arab Emirates.
Without providing any other information on the event, the Royal Navy's United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations division stated that a "Vessel reported to have been seized by regional authorities" off the coast of Fujairah.
It has been confirmed by a number of vessel tracking services, such as vesselfinder.com and marinetraffic.com, that the MSC Aries is a container ship flying the Portuguese flag. Both websites recognized that the ship had spent a significant amount of time in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Israeli government issued a statement, via Reuters, denouncing the act and demanding that Iran be held accountable for its piracy.
Israel Katz, the foreign minister of Israel, released this statement on Saturday in reaction to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' detention of a cargo ship connected to Israel in the Strait of Hormuz.
"The Ayatollah regime of Khamenei is a criminal regime that supports Hamas' crimes and is now conducting a pirate operation in violation of international law," Katz told the press. "I call on the European Union and the free world to immediately declare the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps as a terrorist organization and to sanction Iran now."
US Vice President Joe Biden forecast Friday night that Iran will strike Israel shortly.
The US president merely used the word "don't" in response to Iran's purported plans to attack Israel. He gave them his word that American military would support Israel in defending itself. He said, "We are devoted to the defense of Israel. We will support Israel. We will help defend Israel and Iran will not succeed."
