An Israeli-Moldovan dual citizen, identified as Zvi Kogan, has gone missing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) since Thursday, prompting an investigation by UAE authorities. Kogan, a representative of the Chabad Orthodox Jewish group in the UAE, disappeared in Dubai, sparking concerns of a potential terrorist connection, although details remain scarce.
Kogan's disappearance was confirmed by Chabad's world headquarters, which stated that the rabbi, serving on behalf of the group in the UAE, had been missing since Thursday. The UAE's state news agency reported that the Ministry of Interior is actively searching for Kogan but did not mention his Israeli citizenship.
The Israeli Prime Minister's Office announced that UAE authorities are looking into the incident, with initial indications pointing toward a possible terrorist link. The Chabad group, which provides religious and social services to Jewish communities in the Gulf, declined to comment further.
