In a significant development, the Bombay High Court dealt a legal blow to TV actor Sheezan Khan concerning the Tunisha Sharma suicide case. The court, comprising Justices Ajey Gadkari and Sharmila Deshmukh, rejected Khan's plea seeking the quashing of the FIR filed against him. The FIR was lodged in connection with Tunisha Sharma's tragic demise, who was found dead in December last year on the sets of the Hindi TV show "Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul," located on the outskirts of Mumbai.
According
to a report by the Indian Express, Sheezan's legal representative, Sharad Rai,
argued that relationship dynamics and breakups are commonplace, and the suicide
of one party does not necessarily implicate the other in abetment. Rai
contended that the charges under IPC section 306, pertaining to abetment of
suicide, were unjustified, and the subsequent arrest and custody were
unwarranted.
However, the police countered these claims, presenting CCTV footage suggesting that Tunisha appeared visibly disturbed after an interaction with Sheezan. The prosecution asserted possessing compelling evidence against Khan, emphasizing that the footage indicated a change in Tunisha's demeanor following her encounter with the accused.

Sheezan,
maintaining his innocence, declared himself a victim of malicious media
reports. He argued that false allegations were being propagated by individuals
with ill intentions, aiming to make him the scapegoat in what he perceived as a
straightforward suicide case.
This
legal battle follows Tunisha Sharma's unfortunate death and Sheezan's
subsequent arrest by the Waliv police. The co-actors were part of Sony SAB's
popular show "Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul."
The Bombay High Court's decision not only sustains the gravity of the charges against Sheezan Khan but also raises questions about the evidence presented by the prosecution. The case now moves forward, casting a shadow over the entertainment industry and prompting a broader conversation about the responsibilities and consequences associated with relationships in the public eye.
