The IMD says that heavy rain is expected in five districts of Odisha until tomorrow

The
India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a heavy rainfall signal for five
districts in Odisha on Wednesday morning. The alert is expected to last for the
next 24 hours.
The Bhubaneswar Centre of the Indian Meteorological Department issued a statement on Tuesday indicating that there would be significant rainfall in various districts between 8:30 am on Wednesday and 8:30 am on Thursday. Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, and Nayagarh are some of these districts. So these districts should get ready since the Center has issued an Orange Warning.
An Orange Warning has been issued by Met Office forecasters for a number of districts. It includes Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Gajapati, Khordha, Ganjam, Nayagarh, and Puri. The warning is based on the storms. This is expected to produce severe gusts of 30 to 40 km/h. Heavy lightning is also expected.
The districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, and Mayurbhanj are under a Yellow Warning. This is for thunderstorms and lightning. It will be updated later.

The Met Office issues several pieces of advice. It includes paying special attention to traffic advisories in large cities. It issues to stay alert about weather conditions. It advices and seeking cover during thunderstorms. This is to prevent being struck by lightning.
