In a clash between police and Naxalites in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, a brave jawan lost his life, and a Naxalite with a bounty of 1 million rupees was also neutralized.
The encounter between police and Naxalites occurred once again in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. During this clash, a Bastar Fighters' reserve guard was martyred due to gunshot wounds. In response, the jawans also took swift action, eliminating a Naxalite. Weapons and a significant amount of supplies were recovered from the encounter site.

Here's how the confrontation unfolded: on Sunday morning, the police received intelligence that Naxalites were present in the forests near Chhotebethiya area in Kanker. Acting on this information, a team was dispatched for an operation against the Naxalites. During the operation, the Naxalites opened fire on the security forces, prompting the jawans to retaliate. Unfortunately, Reserve Guard Ramesh Kureti lost his life due to gunfire.
During the search operations, the body of a male Maoist and an AK-47 were recovered. The search campaign is ongoing in the vicinity of the encounter site.
It's important to note that the police team remains in the jungle, continuing the search. Police forces, along with BSF and DRG, are conducting thorough searches in the area. Further information will be available upon the team's return. It's worth mentioning that earlier, an anti-Naxal campaign was underway in Bastar. Teams of jawans were deployed to various regions of Bastar to reach Naxalite hideouts and confront them.
