The unfortunate incident unfolded around 4:30 p.m. on a highway in the Afzalpur taluk of the Kalaburagi district. The family, including two children, was traveling from Dudhani village in the Solapur district of Maharashtra while the truck was en route from Afzalpur taluk. Preliminary investigations suggest that the collision occurred as the truck attempted to overtake the motorcycle, resulting in the tragic demise of all five family members, as confirmed by a senior police officer.

SP Kalaburagi, A Srinivasulu, provided details about the incident, stating that the collision took place near Balluragi Village in Kalaburagi District, ultimately claiming the lives of all five individuals involved. In the immediate aftermath of the accident, the driver of the truck that caused the collision fled the scene, prompting ongoing efforts to apprehend the individual. At present, the identities of the deceased family members remain unconfirmed, and authorities are working diligently to establish their details.
