Triumph and heartbreak:-
The historical epic RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, could not win the Golden Globe for Best Non-English Language Film. It went up against All Quiet on the Western Front by Germany, Argentina's Argentina, 1985 (the winner), Close by Belgium, and Decision to Leave by South Korea. RRR previously won Best Original Song for "Naatu Naatu."   The Golden Globes are a significant forerunner to the Academy Awards. The event was broadcast after a one-year hiatus, during which the industry virtually banned it due to severe allegations of behind-the-scenes diversity and a lack of openness in the selection process.    Triumph and heartbreak Triumph and heartbreak-Triumph and heartbreak-Triumph and heartbreak The Golden Globes, now in its 80th year, were hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael and had numerous significant industry personalities in attendance.   The 80th Golden Globes kicked off Hollywood's award season in Los Angeles with a presentation hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael. But SS Rajamouli's RRR received Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu. It was also up for Best Non-English Language Film, which Argentina won in 1985. RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan as real-life independence heroes Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitaramaraju, is the first Indian film to be nominated for a Golden Globe, Hollywood's highest honour.    The Golden Globes was attended by director Rajamouli, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, and Upasana Kamineni. Aside from RRR, prominent nominees include The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All At Once, which received 6 and 5 nominations, respectively.
