Former
Union Minister Upendra
Kushwaha has reshaped the political landscape by renaming his party,
formerly Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal, to Rashtriya Lok Morcha, a move that has
received official sanction from the Election Commission. This development comes
after Kushwaha departs from Nitish Kumar's JD(U), indicating a significant
shift in Bihar's political dynamics.
Kushwaha
expressed his gratitude towards the Election Commission for approving the new
name, emphasizing the party's official status as Rashtriya Lok Morcha. The
party's registration under this modified name marks a formal transition in its
identity.
Addressing the process, Kushwaha revealed that the Election Commission had requested alternative names, to which they proposed five options. Ultimately, 'Rashtriya Lok Manch' was chosen, signifying a fresh chapter in the party's journey.

Asserting
his party's role as a junior partner within the NDA alliance, Kushwaha exuded
confidence in contributing to the coalition's success in Bihar's parliamentary
elections across all 40 seats. His remarks underscored a strategic alignment
with the BJP-led coalition.
In
response to comments by RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Kushwaha adopted a
sarcastic tone, implying readiness for political realignments while questioning
the relevance of Prasad's statements. He particularly ridiculed Prasad's
assertion of keeping doors open for Nitish Kumar, who recently rejoined the NDA
after severing ties with Mahagathbandhan.
Kushwaha's
political maneuvering reflects the evolving dynamics within Bihar's political
spectrum, with his party's rebranding indicating a proactive stance towards
electoral engagements and coalition politics.
