Virat Kohli Completes 76th International Century in His 500th International Match

Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli, scored his 76th international century in his 500th international match, at Port of Spain against West Indies on Friday.
Expressing his gratitude the star cricketer said that his century was satisfying as he had to "do the hard yards" and added that he had to be patient as the wicket was slow. He mentioned that he really enjoyed himself and was in the rhythm he wanted to be in. He further stated that when he had something to overcome, he got charged up.
Virat mentioned that he had achieved 15 centuries away from home and had more hundreds away than at home. He emphasized contributing to the team's success and finding meaning in statistics. Grateful for 500 matches, he credited his dedication to training, rest, and diet. Converting ones to twos helped him manage pressure. His fitness was vital in all formats, and he aimed to perform at the highest level.
Virat considered playing the match on India and West Indies cricket relations on the occasion of 100th Test, as a "special occasion" for him.The star batsman has several achievements and records under his name.

Virat has also become India's highest run-scorer in the ICC World Test Championship. Since its inception in 2019, he has played 34 matches and 56 innings and accumulated 2,063 runs at an average of 38.92.
In seven Tests played this year, he has scored 557 runs at an impressive average of 55.70. During these 10 innings, Virat registered two centuries and a fifty, with his highest score being 186.
Regarding the second test match, India's first innings ended with a score of 438. Virat's century (121) and fifties by skipper Rohit Sharma (80), Yashasvi Jaiswal (57), Ravindra Jadeja (61), and Ravichandran Ashwin (56) played crucial roles in helping India achieve this substantial total.
Jomel Warrican (3/89) stood out as the top-performing bowler for West Indies. Kemar Roach (3/104) and Jason Holder (2/57) also made significant contributions to the wickets for Windies.
