A tragic wall collapse at a factory construction site in Jasalpur village, Mehsana, Gujarat, has left nine laborers dead. The incident occurred around noon on Saturday when loose soil collapsed while workers were digging a pit for a tank at an under-construction stainless-steel factory. Among the deceased were two women. The laborers, part of a construction crew, were buried under the soil, with one worker managing to escape.

According to Mehsana Superintendent of Police Tarun Duggal, rescue operations were carried out for two hours, involving fire brigade teams, police, and other workers. The bodies of nine victims were recovered, and one person was successfully rescued. Most of the deceased workers hailed from Dahod, Gujarat, while some were from Rajasthan. They were between 20 and 30 years old.
