New Delhi, July 2023 – In a significant development in the ongoing feud between wrestlers and the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), Brij Bhushan Singh, the President of the WFI, has been summoned by a Delhi court in connection with a harassment case.

The summons, issued by Avenue court in Delhi, came after a complaint was filed by a group of wrestlers who accused Brij Bhushan Singh of harassment, mental torture, and misuse of his position.

The court has also issued a summons to Vinod Tomar, the Assistant Secretary of Brij Bhushan Singh. Brij Bhushan Singh, a six-term member of parliament, was charged by with violating sections 354 (assault or criminal force to a woman with the purpose to shock her modesty), 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
Tomar was also accused of violating the IPC’s section 109 (abetting any offense, if the act is performed as a result and no specific provision is provided for its punishment), 354, 354A, and 506 (criminal intimidation).
