140 People Arrested for Alleged ‘Illegal Activities’ at Hyderabad Pub

Hyderabad police arrested 140 people, including 40 women, at a Banjara Hills pub for allegedly engaging in illegal activities. The raid led to the pub's closure, with cases registered against 20 individuals, including staff and DJ operators. The operation follows ongoing surveillance of the venue.

In a significant crackdown, Hyderabad police arrested 140 individuals, including 40 women, at a pub in the upscale Banjara Hills area on Saturday night. The raid at TOS pub followed a tip-off about alleged illegal activities taking place on the premises. The police sealed the pub, and cases have been registered against 20 individuals, including pub owners, staff, and DJ operators, half of whom are women.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Venkat Ramana confirmed that the arrests were made during the raid on Road No. 3. The charges include sections related to dishonesty, public nuisance, and obscene acts. According to reports, the pub employed women from various states to perform inappropriate dance routines to attract male customers, which led to the police action.

The raid follows a series of crackdowns on similar illegal activities across Hyderabad’s pub scene. The pub had been under surveillance prior to the raid.
