In the high-profile murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, Mumbai police revealed that four young men were offered substantial rewards to carry out the assassination, with funding purportedly coming from a wanted associate, Zeeshan Akhtar. The incident, allegedly coordinated by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has led to multiple arrests but remains under investigation as police search for the remaining suspects.

According to a recent police report, four of the 18 men arrested for the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique were promised cash, cars, a flat, and a Dubai trip for carrying out the killing. During interrogations, one of the accused, Ramphoolchand Kanojia, allegedly promised the young men these rewards, funded by a wanted associate, Zeeshan Akhtar.

The accused, including Rupesh Mohol (22), Shivam Kohad (20), Karan Salve (19), and Gaurav Apune (23), reportedly come from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. Akhtar, who remains at large, is believed to have financed the murder, transferring over ₹4 lakh to the accused. Police are still verifying these details.

Baba Siddique, father of MLA Zeeshan Siddique, was shot on October 12 outside his son’s office in Bandra East. Despite being rushed to Lilavati Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Two of the three shooters were apprehended, while one remains on the run. The murder has been linked to the gang of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, whose brother Anmol Bishnoi, reportedly operating from Canada, was in contact with the shooters before the incident.
