Veteran BJP leader Brahm Singh Tanwar has joined AAP, bolstering the party’s ranks before Delhi’s elections. Tanwar commended AAP’s development focus, with Kejriwal highlighting the positive response to AAP’s governance model in Delhi and Punjab.
Brahm Singh Tanwar, a three-time former BJP MLA and prominent leader in south Delhi, has joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) just months before Delhi’s upcoming elections. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, who inducted him into the party on Thursday, praised Tanwar’s decades-long commitment to public service, stating that he has prioritized development in the constituencies he served, including Mehrauli and Chhatarpur.
Tanwar’s shift to AAP marks a significant addition to the ruling party, especially as he has been a long-standing figure in BJP. Kejriwal noted that Tanwar’s move reflects the growing appeal of AAP’s governance model, which has expanded beyond Delhi to Punjab, attracting more leaders to join.
