BJP President JP Nadda has criticized Congress for ignoring Rahul Gandhi's alleged misdeeds, responding to Mallikarjun Kharge's letter to PM Modi condemning BJP leaders' remarks against Gandhi. Nadda accused Congress of shielding Gandhi and attempting to salvage his political image, despite public rejection.
BJP President JP Nadda has strongly criticized Congress, accusing the party of ignoring the wrongdoings of its leaders, particularly Rahul Gandhi. In a letter addressed to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Nadda responded to Kharge’s earlier complaint to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding derogatory comments made by BJP leaders against Gandhi.
Nadda accused Congress of trying to defend a leader, Rahul Gandhi, whose actions, he claims, have been repeatedly rejected by the public. According to Nadda, the Congress letter ignored Gandhi's statements, which allegedly offended the Other Backward Class (OBC) communities and sought to tarnish Modi’s image. He argued that Kharge’s efforts to defend Gandhi were a political move to salvage a failed leadership.

Kharge had written to Modi, condemning remarks like “number one terrorist,” made by Union Minister Ravneet Bittu, and other threatening statements directed toward Gandhi by BJP figures. In response, Nadda questioned Congress's defense of Gandhi, accusing him of associating with anti-India elements and attending events that supported terrorist groups.
Nadda’s letter emphasized that Congress continues to shield Gandhi while ignoring his controversial actions, which, according to the BJP, have harmed the party’s reputation.
