Crypto Entrepreneur ‘Justin Sun’ Considers to Relocate Huobi’s Asia HQ to Hong Kong

Crypto entrepreneur and creator of the blockchain network ‘TRON’, Justin Sun recently announced that he will relocate the Asia headquarters of cryptocurrency exchange “Huobi” from Singapore to Hong Kong to take advantage of the city's efforts to become a hub for digital assets. By the end of 2023, Sun intends to extend Huobi's operations in the financial center by hiring 200 more people. “The Hong Kong government's recent introduction of crypto-friendly laws, including enabling retail engagement in the market is a big breakthrough factor for expansion”, Justin further added. Crypto Entrepreneur Crypto Entrepreneur Justin Sun asserted that after applying last year, he was quite certain that Huobi would be granted a crypto trading license by the city's authorities. The business would establish Huobi Hong Kong as a local channel.  Sun's announcement for expansion comes at a time when western nations, including the US are tightening cryptocurrency regulations in response to the collapse of FTX in November, one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges. After last year's market crisis, Singapore has also lured numerous benevolent laws on digital assets and cryptocurrency by introducing stronger restrictions.
