Edward Berger's Netflix Hit Went Ballistic; Won 7 Awards at BAFTA 2023.

"All quiet on the Western Front" wasn't that quiet on the awards night at BAFTA 2023. The Edward Berger-directed movie took home 7 awards from a total of 14 nominations, setting a record for winning the maximum number of awards being a non-English film.  BAFTA 2023 BAFTA 2023 It also set a joint record for the highest nominations as a non-English film, alongside Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The movie is set in the 1917s, the time of the first world war. It revolves around a boy, who is fantasized about the concept of war, but sooner finds out about the harsh realities.  The movie went on to win "Best film," "Best Director," "Best Adapted Screenplay," "Best Cinematography," "Best Original Score," "Best Sound," and "Best Film not in the English Language" awards, respectively.    BAFTA 2023 BAFTA 2023 Besides this, "Banshees of Inisherin" was another high-flying film in the annual film awards. Kerry Condon won "Best Supporting Actress" at BAFTA Awards for her role as Siobhan Suilleabhain in the movie. Notably, Cate Blanchett won the "Best Actress" award for her role in Tar, while Austin Butler won the "Best Actor" award for his role in Elvis. Here is a list of all the winners from BAFTA 2023:
