UP Minister Sanjay Singh Gangwar claimed that lying in a cowshed could cure cancer and stroking a cow's back could lower blood pressure. These remarks, made during a cowshed inauguration, have raised eyebrows due to their lack of scientific support.
In a controversial statement, Uttar Pradesh Minister Sanjay Singh Gangwar claimed that lying in a cowshed and cleaning it could cure cancer. He further asserted that stroking a cow's back twice daily can help reduce blood pressure, potentially lowering medication dosages. The BJP leader made these comments during the inauguration of the Kanha Gaushala in Nougawa Pakadiya, Uttar Pradesh.
Gangwar advised people with high blood pressure to stroke a cow's back, claiming that this practice could reduce their medication intake from 20 mg to 10 mg in just 10 days. He also emphasized the benefits of burning cow dung cakes to repel mosquitoes, underscoring the overall utility of cows and their byproducts.
Gangwar’s remarks have sparked significant reactions due to their unscientific nature. Despite the controversy, he continued to promote his beliefs, stating that cows offer many health benefits and urging greater respect for them in Indian society. He also called on Muslims to make their traditional Eid vermicelli using cow's milk, furthering his appeal to different communities to recognize the value of cows.

This is not the first time Gangwar has made headlines for his bold claims and outspoken nature. His political journey has been marked by such remarks since joining the BJP in 2017 after contesting previous elections on a BSP ticket.
